What We Provide
We provide individual and group tutoring from kindergarten through high school in all academic subjects. A specially tailored program will be developed based on the needs of the individual student to improve his or her performance in school or on standardized tests.
PREK-12 TUTORING
Expert Service
Expert Tutoring & College Counseling provides individual and group tutoring from kindergarten through high school in all academic subjects. We also offer preparation for COOP, HSPT, SSAT, ISEE and all state and local exams.
At Expert Tutoring we have specialized tutors who are certified to teach students with Language Based Learning Disabilities (LBDL) such as dyslexia. Our tutors are also equipped to work with students diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, and ASD.

An individually tailored program is developed based on the needs of each student to improve his or her performance on standardized tests. Our staff of experts will use diagnostic testing to determine a student’s skill level and create plans accordingly. Mock tests are provided for continued monitoring.

ACADEMIC COACHING
Attention to Detail
An Academic Coach will help the student recognize how he or she best learns and operates in an academic environment. The coach will make sure the student learns the material in individual courses while also showing him or her that success in school can be a reality.
Academic Coaches work with students in all kinds of situations, not just with students who are struggling academically. Many highly motivated, high-achieving students will have a coach to improve learning efficiency and organization.
READING & WRITING
Specialization
Expert Tutoring & College Counseling offers students a reading program that utilizes the Orton-Gillingham approach. This approach is used to instruct students who have a particularly difficult time with reading, spelling, and writing due to dyslexia or other language-based learning disabilities.
Our LBLD Specialist and certified Orton-Gillingham instructor, Catherine Saum, meets with parents and students to review IEPs and create specific lesson plans to support each and every student's individual needs.
ONLINE TUTORING
Distance Learning
Expert Tutoring & College Counseling has been tutoring students online for many years. This has allowed us to work with students in boarding school or from different states. We are fully equipped to teach and counsel through the online platform that is most convenient for our students.
