Catherine Perna Saum has been working for Expert Tutoring and College Counseling since 2009. After attending St. Elizabeth School in Wyckoff and finishing her years there as class president, Catherine moved on to the Academy of the Holy Angels. During her free time, she did volunteer peer tutoring after school at Expert Tutoring and College Counseling. Catherine then attended Providence College in Rhode Island, where she graduated Cum Laude and became a member of the Tau Pi Phi National business Administration Honor Society. Catherine is one of our most valued and popular tutors; not only does she prepare students for all areas of the SAT and ACT, but she also has her Orton-Gillingham certification, allowing her to help students of all ages overcome reading and language difficulties.

As one of our senior private college counselors, Catherine counsels all students, helping them navigate through the application process. Additionally, she heads the Students with Learning Disabilities Department and specializes in counseling students who have an Individualized Educational Plan. Last spring, 100% of Catherine’s students were admitted to one of their top-choice schools.
